One downside to November was getting a minor surgery done. It actually wasn't bad at all, and it only took a few days to recover, but it was still a memorable part of the month. I'm glad it's over!
NOVEMBER TURKEY BOWL
The last few months have been fun, but crazy! I thought I would try and play a little catch up. The day before Thanksgiving, Heidi suggested we have a turkey "bowl". So got some friends together for a good, old-fashioned bowling competition. I'm still not sure who won (Lindsay or Dave?), but we had a lot of fun! Elizabeth and I created a new sport of synchronized bowling. No one bowled a turkey, but we did get pretty close. Here are some pics from our adventure:
TARGET BLACK-FRIDAY SHOPPING
We hadn't really planned on it, but we decided at the last minute to do some Black Friday shopping. Mary Lu came with my Mom, Julie, and I for her first Black Friday experience. We decided to go to Target. There were so many people! The only thing I came away with was moisturizer and hairspray. But I had a great time!
FAMILY FUN
No, this picture is not just of some random kids seeing Santa. I went with some of my family down to the Riverwoods to see the lights and so the kids could see Santa. These are two of my nephews who are actually happy to see Santa!
My parents rented a trolley at Thanksgiving Point for our family so we could see the lights together. It was fun to have everyone together. Thanks Mom and Dad!
CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES
Heidi and I put up our Christmas tree Thanksgiving weekend. I will say that we probably have one of the most ethnic and diverse trees you will find. We have ornaments from all over the world, as well as a paper-chain and glow stix, and a pencil to hold up our star. You will find nothing like it anywhere else! But we love it.
DIVINE COMEDY
Lindsay's brother works on the staff for Divine Comedy at BYU, so he got us some VIP tickets to their "Best of...." show. I had never been before, so this was my first experience with Divine Comedy. It was a pretty funny show. We had a great time! Things may have gotten a little crazy......
